Highlights

Location: 850-acre estate with scenic countryside

Rooms: 232 rooms and suites with picturesque views

Dining: Michelin-starred Andrew Fairlie restaurant

Wellness: award-winning Spa at Gleneagles with organic treatments

Activities: over 20 activities including off-road driving experiences

“Gleneagles strikes me as a magical place, especially for families, with activities ranging from falconry to off-roading, set amidst the sprawling 850-acre estate; the extensive breakfast buffet alone makes it worthwhile. I appreciate that while some found service inconsistent in certain restaurants, the glamour of The Strathearn and the attentiveness at Birnham Brasserie stood out. A return visit seems essential, with hopes that spa bookings become easier to secure.”

Valet parking was a nice convenience. The grounds are great. I liked the multiple car chargers available for electric cars.
I requested additional towels. A turndown service was kindly offered, but neither request was fulfilled. Dinner in the Birnam was slow. Our main course took an hour to arrive and it was cold.
